It is said that Mrs. Walters attempted to commit suicide by......her husband refused to stop his incessant drinking. Mrs. Walters died at the home of her brother, L.D. Brethorst, of Anchor, where she has been receiving medical care since committing her rash act two weeks ago. It is said that her mouth and throat were terribly burned by the lye. Coroner James Hare was called to Anchor last night to hold the inquest. The Walters family has lived in the vicinity of the Anchor Lutheran Church southeast of the village for the past four years. Mr. and Mrs. Walters have been married fourteen years; they have two children.
