Means, took place at the M.E. Church in this city last Friday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. F.B. Madden, who preached a solemn and impressive funeral address. Amos Means was born to Mr. and Mrs. Means at their farm home near this ciity, 4-14-1896, and died at the same home on Thursday 1-14-1904, making his age 7 years and 9 months. His parents and an only brother, Walker, survive him. He was a bright, affectionate boy, who gave promise of a brilliant manhood. Seven weeks before his death he was taken ill with typhoid fever, which proved fatal in spite of every effort to save him. The parents have the sympathy of the community in their loss. **typist note: I believe the location to be Saybrook, McLean County, IL
