For many years Mr. and Mrs. Evans lived four and one-half miles out of town and four years ago had moved to town. His wife preceded him in death September 14, 1921 and one son died a number of years ago. The surviving children are Mrs. Maude Amstadt, Mrs. H.S. Rees, and William, all of this city, besides six grand- children. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian church, with the pastor Rev. Henry Snyder, officiating. Burial was made in the Oak Grove cemetery. LeRoy (IL) Journal, Friday, 17 Sep 1926
