  EASTERBROOK, LEO J. 

  Saybrook - Funeral services were held Friday at the Saybrook Christian Church 

  for Leo J. Easterbrook, 84, Saybrook who died Tuesday 1-22-1974 at home. 

  Rev. Jim Reed officiated; burial was in Riverside cemetery, Saybrook. 

  Easterbrook was born 8-16-1889 at Saybrook, a son of Carey and Lina Hurley 

  Easterbrook. He married Nina Rogers 6-28-1916 at Paxton. He is survived 

  by his widow; two sons, Roger and Leo Jr; two brothers, Earl and Harry. 

  He is also survived by two grandchildren. A sister preceded him in death. He 

  was a retired funeral director at the CP and LJ funeral home and furniture 

  business, Saybrook. They sold the funeral home to Stensel's in July 1962. 

  The Easterbrook funeral home was the oldest business in Saybrook until 

  it was sold.
