Oak Grove; was born in Harrison Co., Ohio, April 18, 1810; came to this State with his family and settled in Dry Grove Township, McLean Co., in 1873. His farm consists of 155 acres, valued at $7,500. He was married in Harrison Co., Ohio, in 1840, to Miss Mary Ann HILTON, who was born in Washington Co., Penn., Janu 16, 1819; they have seven children living, one dead; Margaret Ann died in Ohio; the names of the living are Nancy Jane, William, Elizabeth, Thomas, John, Robert and Mattie. Since Mr. Hamilton's residence in this county, he has held office of School Director two years; he also held the same office in Ohio for the same length of time.
