Colfax Press, McLean Co., IL 17 Aug 1894

Philander Pierce, an old resident of Blue Mound Township, died Monday. The funeral
was conducted 
Wednesday by Rev. Clements.

Philander Pierce,b, 22 Hab 1821 NY, d. 113 Aug 1894 son of Eliphalet Pierce and
Annis McMichel. 
Philanders' wife was Samantha Hartwell, b. 31 Dec 1824 IN, d. 8 Dec 1890, daughter
of Alba Hartwell and 
Calista Twaddle. Both Philander and Samantha are buried at Blue Mound Cemetery,
Cooksville, McLean 
Co., IL.
