AL W. KOHLER DIES AT HIS HOME IN CHICAGO
 
Al W. KOHLER, formerly one of the owners of the Windsor Hotel, died at Grant Hospital in Chicago 
yesterday morning.  Word of his death was received from his wife by Mrs. Frank GOETCHIUS of 
611 East Douglas Street. Mr. KOHLER was well known in Bloomington. He came to the city twenty-five 
years ago with his brother Luke, operated the Windsor Hotel until the big fire in June, 1900. While 
a resident of Bloomington. Mr. KOHLER married Miss Nellie FINNAN, a sister of the late Paul FINNAN, 
former alderman and member of the legislature, and Michael FINNAN, one of the officers of the US 
Letter Carriers National Organization. During his residence in Chicago , Mr. KOHLER held a position 
at the Brevoort Hotel.
