Mr. FINNAN was stricken with paralysis a few days ago, and his death has been expected since. After leaving Buffalo. Mr. FINNAN went to Logansport, IND, and in 1870 came to this city which has since been his home. He was employed in the construction foreman for the Big Four, but about nineteen years ago was made crossing flagman at Main Street, which position he held for twelve years, working from 7 am. to 10 pm. He was always watchful and scores owe their lives to his fidelity. For the last seven years, until his last sickness, he had been stationed at Lee Street. Mr. FINNAN was genial gentleman, and delighted in recounting his days experiences in the early days of the Big Four, or what was the L/IB&G. The little house in which he spent his days beside the tract was always an entertaining place, and Michael FINNAN will be greatly missed by those who regularly stopped by to enjoy a few minutes conversation with him.
